Join us for a 4-day journey through Chengdu, the historical and cultural heart of Sichuan Province, with a legacy spanning over 2,200 years. Renowned for its laid-back lifestyle, flavorful cuisine, and unique attractions, Chengdu offers visitors a blend of ancient tradition and modern vibrancy.
This tour features a special Panda Keeper Experience at the Dujiangyan Panda Base, located approximately 55 km west of Chengdu. You’ll have the rare opportunity to participate in conservation efforts and interact with giant pandas under the guidance of professional staff.
In Chengdu, you’ll visit four handpicked highlights:
- Wenshu Monastery – a peaceful sanctuary and Buddhist site
- Jinli Ancient Street – a lively street recreating the Tang Dynasty charm
- Chengdu Global Center – the largest freestanding building in Asia

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu
Upon arrival at Chengdu Shuangliu Airport or the train station, your guide and driver will greet you at the arrival hall and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to rest or explore the local area.

Day 2: Chengdu City Tour
Begin your day with a peaceful visit to Wenshu Monastery, one of Chengdu’s most important Buddhist temples. Enjoy a tea break at the traditional teahouse inside the temple grounds, followed by a vegetarian lunch at the on-site restaurant. In the afternoon, stroll along Jinli Ancient Street to soak in the ambiance of ancient Chengdu. Conclude the day with a visit to the Temple of Marquis Wu, a complex honoring the legendary strategist Zhuge Liang of the Three Kingdoms era.

Day 3: Dujiangyan Panda Keeper Program
Depart early for Dujiangyan Panda Base. After registration, you’ll spend the day engaging in the Panda Keeper Program:
– Clean panda enclosures
– Prepare bamboo and panda bread
– Feed the pandas
– Watch an educational panda documentary
A simple lunch will be provided at the base cafeteria.

Day 4: Departure from Chengdu
Depending on your departure schedule, your guide will transfer you to Chengdu airport or train station for your onward journey.
