Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu and transfer to your hotel. Visit the Temple of Wenshu and enjoy tea at a local teahouse. Overnight at a 4-star hotel.
Day 2: Chengdu to Kangding
Drive to Kangding via the modern highway, visiting the Luding Iron Bridge en route. Acclimatize with a gentle walk. Overnight in a 4-star hotel.
Day 3: Kangding to Bamei
Cross Dzetuo Pass, visit Lhagang Monastery, and see Great Mani piles en route to Bamei. Overnight in a local hostel.
Day 4: Bamei to Danba
Visit Gatar Shangbalin Monastery and drive to Danba via Haizi Pass and the dramatic Donggu Valley. Explore ancient watchtowers. Overnight in a Tibetan guesthouse.
Day 5: Danba to Chengdu
Drive back to Chengdu through Wo-ri County and Wolong. Overnight in a 4-star hotel.
Day 6: Departure from Chengdu
Transfer to the airport or train station for departure. End of services.

Do I need a special permit to visit Tibetan areas?
No special permit is required for this tour, as it only enters Tibetan regions within Sichuan Province, outside the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR).
What altitude will we reach during the trip?
The highest point is around 4,450 meters (14,600 feet) at Haizi Pass. We recommend staying hydrated and walking slowly to acclimate.
