Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa (3,650 m)
Welcome to Lhasa, the spiritual heart of Tibet. Upon arrival, your Tibetan guide will greet you at the airport or train station and transfer you to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude. We suggest a light walk nearby before bed to help your body adjust.

Day 2: Lhasa City Tour – Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Street
Begin your day at Potala Palace, the former winter residence of the Dalai Lamas and an architectural marvel. Continue to Jokhang Temple, Tibet’s most sacred shrine, home to the revered statue of 12-year-old Buddha Shakyamuni. Afterwards, explore the lively Barkhor Street, where pilgrims, locals, and monks circle the temple in devotion. You may also visit a traditional Tibetan tea house for an authentic cultural experience.

Day 3: Lhasa Monastery Tour – Drepung & Sera Monasteries
This morning, visit Drepung Monastery, once the largest monastery in the world, located at the foot of Mount Gephel. In the afternoon, tour Sera Monastery, famed for its unique monastic debate rituals conducted in the courtyard. The name “Sera” means “wild rose” in Tibetan, referring to the abundant flora that once surrounded the monastery.

Day 4: Yamdrok Lake Day Excursion & Norbulingka Palace
Depart around 8:30 am for Yamdrok Lake (approx. 110 km, 2–3 hours). One of Tibet’s three holy lakes, Yamdrok is renowned for its turquoise waters and stunning mountain backdrop. Enjoy a picnic-style lunch on the lake shore and take in the serene surroundings. On your return to Lhasa, visit Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, featuring beautiful gardens and murals.

Day 5: Departure from Lhasa
Your tour concludes today. After breakfast, we will transfer you to Lhasa Gonggar Airport or the railway station for your departure.
