Tibet 8 days tour is to concentrate the central Tibet which is the most cultivated regions of Tibet, including Lhasa, Tsetang, Shigartse and Gyantse. On this tour you will gain insights into the soul of Tibetan culture as you explore the major religious monuments and “power places” of the communities and meet the kindness Tibetan people who maintain their spiritual identity in the face of overwhelming odds.

Day 1 Arrive in Tsetang

Arrive in Lhasa airport, meet your Tibetan guide, and then drive to Tsetang county, En route visit to Dranang monastery, Mindrolling monastery. Once arrive in your hotel, check in, and rest

Day 2 Tsetang

Today, we will begin our journey by visiting to Samye monastery, which was built in the 770’s under the patronage of King Trisong Detsen, being regarded as the first Buddhist monastery. In the afternoon, and then return to Tsetang visit to Yongbu Lhakhang and Tandrue monastery

Day 3 Tsetang to Gyantse

Today, we will depart from Tsetang in the morning, the first site we will visit shall be the Yamdrok lake, which is one of the 4 holiest lake of Tibet, then drive to descend from Gambala pass, en route visit to Karola Glacier, drive to Gyantse.

Day 4 Gyantse to Shigartse

Today we will first visit to Pelkhor monastery and Gyantse kumbum in the morning, then we will depart from Gyantse to Shigatse, the 2nd largest city of Tibet. En route we will stop by to visit one small milling house which is unique and only exist in Tibet. Then after, we will get to visit Tashilhunphuk monastery after arriving in Shigatse

Day 5 Shigartse to Lhasa

In the morning, we will drive to take a visit of local Agriculture Market, then depart for Lhasa, the drive takes about 4-5 hours; After arrive in Lhasa, we will visit to Norbulinka, the former summer palace of .Dalai lama

Day 6 Lhasa

Today, we will begin our visit to Potala palace , the land mark of Tibet and the center to all pilgrims. Then after, we will get to the old area visiting Jokhang temple that is home of the statues of the revered Buddha Shakyamuni. followed by visiting Barkhor street which is indeed a pilgrim Cora around Jokhang temple, we will take a walk into the small alleys, if you want to, you can visit local Tibetan Family run Sweet-Tea house, to interact with locals;

Day 7 Lhasa

Today we will visit to Drepung monastery and Sera monastery. Both monasteries are separately located on the northeast and west end of Lhasa. Drepung Monastery is one of the “great six” Gelukpa monasteries. It is about 5 kilometers from the west Lhasa, and being regarded the largest monastery across Tibet. In the afternoon, we will drive to the northeast Lhasa visiting to Sera monastery. The origin of the name ‘Sera’ derived from the fact that the original site was surrounded by ‘Wild Roses,‘ which in Tibetan language read as “Se” “Ra.”

Day 8 Lhasa departure

Your tour ends today, we will drive you to airport or train station for you departure
