Day 1 Arrive in Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu, meet your guide and driver at airport or train – station; drive to your hotel to get your room. In the rest housrs of afternoon a leisure visit to Temple of Wenshu and the traditional Chinese tea-hous.

Day 2 Chengdu to Kangding
Drive 280 kilometers to Kangding, the highway has tremendously shorten the drive from previously 7-8 hours to 3 – 4 hours. En-route we will stop by to visit Luding Iron Bridge. Then arrive at the gateway town of the Eastern Tibet of Kham – Kangding, which is cradled in a narrow gorge along the raging Dzetuo River. The river’s continual rumble, and can be heard in its alleyways, in which Tibetan nomads from the west coming to sell Tibetan herbal medicine, Khampa knives, traditional Tibetan garments, and the ever-popular yak butter tea. For centuries the town has held the status of “Gateway to Tibet”. After arrive in Kangding take an easy walk in order to acclimatizing to the altitude.

Day 3 Kangding to Bamei
The Dzetuo Mountain La (The pass) is with altitude of 4320 meters, and then we will descend from the top to the bottom of the valley, arriving at a small but picturesque town of Xinduqiao, where we will have lunch and take a short stop to enjoy the beautiful scenery, and then we will continually drive Tagong, a small Tibetan town, in which we’ll visit the Lhagang monastery. It is one Sakya Pa monastery.
According to legend, Princess Wengcheng (Tang dynasty) , whom travel to Tibet for her marriage with Tibet King Songtsen Gampo, stayed overnight in Lhagang (Tagong), and the Jowo Shakyamuni image that she brought as her dowry was requested to be left in that idyllic setting. Hence Princess Wengcheng started to build a monastery in here which is Lhagang monastery. It was one of the 108 monasteries that being built under the order of Tibet King Songtsen Gampo in China mainland.
After this vist, we will keep driving for another 30 kilometers, en route, we will enjojy the great view of the holy mountain of Yarla Jartso, Detouring the the Great Mani pile.

Day 4 Bamei to Danba
From Bamei, we turn to east, and stop by to visit a monastery of Gatar Shangbalin, which the 7th Dalai Lama was used to cultivate himself according to a religious doctrine; Then with a drive of 30 minutes onto the Hai-Zi pass (4450 meters) , where we can enjoy the stunning view of Mt. Yarla Yartso, then after following the Donggu River crossing through the narrow and deeply Donggu valley to Danba, which is Kingdom of Ancient Watching towers. Those are hidden deep in the high mountains and dense forests, thousands of Watching towers are endowed with a sense of mystery. The Dadu River takes shape here and flows south through Danba. Watching towers were built hundreds of years ago, for defensive purposes and passing messages between different villages. The height of these stone-built military structures is often above 30 meters, while the tallest tower measures 60 meters in height. Looking from afar, the scene of groups of towers and castles standing in the gorgeous Danba valley is breathtaking.

Day 5 Danba to Chengdu
In the morning, we will depart early, en route take a visit to the last high-watching tower in Wo-ri county, then driving through the Mt Balang tunnel, descending to Wolong, from which we will drive directly to Chengdu.
