Yunnan World Heritage

Yunnan World Heritage of Cheng-jiang fossils was announced to be included in the World Heritage List on the 36th World Heritage Committee meeting on July 1^st 2012. During this meeting, The World-Heritage-Committee announced that Cheng-jiang fossils is now included in the World Heritage List. this trip will bring you to this exciting site to study the “foot-prints” of our ancestors, as well as the evolution of species. Other than this great site, we will fly to the south of yunnan of Xishuangbanna, visiting the ethnic group of Dai people….

Day 1 Arrive in Kunming

Arriving in Kunming, your guide, driver will be awaiting at the Arrival-hall of airport or Train station. Then you will be transferred to your hotel, check in. Your Yunnan World Heritage begins

Day 2 Kunming to Cheng-Jiang, visit

Chengjiang Fossils Museum is about 80 km from Kunming covering an area of 512 hectares.It was discovered in 1984. The items found on this site with history approximately 530 millions years displaying how evolution appeared in that era; We will return to Kunming for overnight

Day 3 Kunming to Yuanmo, visit

Yuanmou County is about 200 kilomeeters northwest of Kunming, we will begin our journey in the morning .Approxiamtely 2.5 hours drive to arrive this county, and then we will first visit to the “Yuanmo Men Musuem” which display the Archeologists Discovery of “Yuanmo Men”, whom primary lived in the early Paleolithic Age in Southwest China with a history of about 170 million years. And then we will explore the Yuan Mo Maotu Soil Forest, which reflecting the paleogeographic changes and geomorphological development process. We will drive back to Kunming in the late of afternoon

Day 4 Kunming to Xishuangbanna

By morning flight to Xishuangbanna that was known as ‘Mengbanaxi’ in the past. It means a miraculous and nice utopia, in which 13 minority tribe groups have lived in for generations. You will be greeted by your local guide upon your arrival of Xishuangbanna airport, then we will proceed our visits of “Wild Elephant Valley” that located in Sanchahe Nature Reserve, the only region in China where wild elephants use it as shelter.

Day 5 Xishuangbanna Visit

Menglun along the Mekong River is a site that very seldom being “hit” by tourism, we will drive to visit the Tropical Botanical Garden, which is thought to be the “Peral of the Crown” to the evergreen boundless forest area of Xishuangbanna. En route, we will detour a local farmer-market, where you will witness how various local products like fruits, vegetables and handicrafts are provided by local farmers in their minority costume; and in Gan-Lan-Ba, we will also visit to the majestic ancient temples, which is one of the ways to study culture of Dai minority tribe.

Day 6 Xishuangbanna

The excursion to Menghai will begin from early morning that to explore the Jingzhen Octagonal Pavilion that was built in the honor of Sakyamuni by the local minority groups, its architecture with combinations of the ancient chinese and local Dai people. Then followed by a visit to the village of Aini people. There could be a chance that we might be able to witnessing or even enrolling to be part of a local wedding ceremony; then after we will visit to the field that grows local Tea of Pu-Er, which is thought to be efficient for Losing weight

Day 7 Xishuangbanna departure

Your journey is about to end on today, we will drive you to the airport for your departure. Departure time shall follow your flight schedule
