Overview

Zhangjiang Scenic Area, is located in libo county China, has a total area of 118.8 square kilometers. The core area covers an area of 34.8 square kilometers. It is composed of large and small Qi-kong scenic spots, Shuichun River scenic spots and Zhangjiang scenic belts, with 58 main scenic spots distributed.

Zhangjiang Scenic Area is connected with Maolan National Nature Reserve. The Zhangjiang scenic area takes water as its beauty, so it’s better to choose it during the prosperous water season from June to September to be more enjoyable.

Location

Zhangjiang Scenic Spot is located in Libo County, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in southern Guizhou Province, adjacent to Huanjiang County and Nandan County in Guangxi. It is in the triangle tourist area of Guilin-Guiyang-Kunming.

Zhangjiang River runs through the entire scenic area from east to west, connecting Shuichun River Scenic Area, Large Qi-kong Scenic Area, Small Qi-kong Scenic Area and Yaoshan Mountain into one line.

Features

Zhangjiang Scenic Area is characterized by rich and diverse karst landforms, beautiful and peculiar Zhangjiang waterscapes, prosperous virgin forests, and various rare species of animals and plants. It combines peculiar natural scenery with Ethnic groups of Buyi, Shui, Yao, etc, it is the first World Natural Heritage site in Guizhou.

The characteristics and scenic spots of the four scenic spots are different. Small Qi-kong Scenic Area has Small Qi-kong Ancient Bridge, Laya Waterfall and other scenic spots, Large Qi-kong Scenic Spot mainly has Tiansheng Bridge, Yaofeng Cave and other scenic spots. Shuichun River rafting is the best choice for the thrills of local water activities.

How to get to there

The transportation to Libo County is very convenient. The expressway goes directly to Zhangjiang Scenic Area.

There are direct buses to Libo from Guiyang, Duyun, Kaili, Nanning, Liuzhou, Chongqing, Guangzhou and other large and medium cities,

By Vehicle

At present, there are highways in the scenic area that lead to Guangxi Nandan, Huanjiang, Jinchengjiang and Guizhou’s Mawei, Sandu, Dushan, Duyun, and Guiyang, and extend to Guangxi of Liuzhou, Guilin, and Nanning.

By Flight

Libo airport is only 13 kilometers away from Libo County, and it can be reached in less than half an hour by vehicle. So far, there are 5 cities including Beijing, Chengdu, Guiyang, Hefei, and Chongqing that have direct flights to Libo.

Once arriving at Libo airport, take airport shuttle bus to Libo county, and then switch to local vehicle to Zhangjiang Scenic Area; or to charter a vehicle from the airport to Zhangjiang Scenic Area.

By train

The Gui-Guang High-speed Railway passes through “Duyun Station” and “Sandu Station” in southern Guizhou, both of which can reach Zhangjiang Scenic Area in just over an hour’s drive.

The two nearest ordinary railway stations to Libo are Dushan and Mawei Railway Station. It is ok to choose to take the train to any one of this two stations, and then switch to local bus or mini bus to Libo County. Both of this two stations are about 1.5 hours from Libo County. From Mawei train station, it is only a 20-minute drive from the west gate of Small Qi-Kong Scenic Area.
